From grade 5, all Crucians are students of the Evangelisches Kreuzgymnasium (Protestant Evangelical School of the Holy Cross), which has a total of 850 students.
In order to coordinate and harmonise both their school and choir responsibilities, the choir members are taught in separate classes until completion of the 7th school year. From the 8th year, the choir members are taught in mixed classes with other students of the Kreuzgymnasium. The curricula of these classes follow a musical profile specially designed for Crucians. In addition to English, Crucians learn Latin as a second foreign language from as early as 6th grade. In the 6th grade, Crucians may opt for the advanced music course, of which the choral training is a part.
By attending this school and being members of the choir, Crucians receive a combination of a high-quality musical education and a superior school education at the Evangelisches Kreuzgymnasium.
