The "Stiftung Dresdner Kreuzchor - Förderstiftung" (Dresdner Kreuzchor Foundation), whose establishment was made possible by legacies and donations, has existed alongside the Friends Society since January 2005. The funds of the Foundation have been invested on a long-term and profit-making basis; the income earned is used in compliance with the foundation's charter.
The Foundation assists in and supports the realisation of the choir's objectives to a substantial degree by constituting a long-term means of securing the choir's future existence. Thus, the foundation initiates and promotes primarily larger and long-term projects that are especially directed at the living and working conditions of the choir and at the education of the Crucians.
It is an essential task of the Foundation to solicit further endowment contributions. Donations and also legacies bequeathed to the Foundation constitute permanent additions to the endowment fund. This increase in the endowment fund allows the Foundation to achieve higher earnings and thus to put its work on a long-term and more efficient basis.
